On 7 July 2016, Mr. Nikola Poposki, the Vice Premier and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Macedonia  has sent condolences to Mr. Wang Yi,  Foreign Minister of People's Republic of China, over the severe floods that hit Central and Eastern China, expressing condolences and deep sympathy .

Foreign Minister Poposki  said, "In these difficult moment, I would like to convey the solidarity of the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia with the families of the victims and to express my sincere wishes for recovery and togetherness of the friendly Chinese people."
