Ambassador Dong presented at the Closing Ceremony of the Renovation of Gorce Delcev School

September 1, 2010, Ambassador Dong was invited to Prilep to be presented at the Closing Ceremony of the Renovation of Gorce Delcev School and also the Opening Ceremony of the Fall Semester. Deputy Prime Minister of Macedonia Mr. Vasko Naumovski, Mayor of Prilep Mr. Marjan Risteski, and the School teachers and students etc. all attended the Ceremony.

 

          

 

Ambassador Dong expressed in his speech that since Macedonia and China established diplomatic relations, Macedonia and China have carried out high-ranking official visits and mutual beneficial cooperation in various fields, continuously strengthening the traditional friendship between the two peoples. The Chinese government has consistently adhered to the principle of "mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit, and common development" to provide foreign aid within its capacity, and is pleased to do something for the education of Macedonia. The Renovation of Goce Delcev School has created a better learning environment for the students, and embodied the profound friendship of the Chinese People to the Macedonian people. It's a sincere hope that both sides would continue to cooperate closely, and constantly deepen the traditional friendship in order to benefit the two peoples.


Deputy Prime Minister Vasko Naumovski and Mayor of Prilep Mr. Marjan Risteski both expressed their appreciation for the Chinese aid in their speeches, and are quite satisfied with the new and big improvement of the teaching and learning environment of the School.

 

         

 

 The Ceremony opened in a friendly and cordial atmosphere. After the Ceremony, Ambassador Dong was interviewed by the local media, and cut the ribbons for the School together with the Deputy Prime Minister and the Mayor, and all were showed around the school afterwards.

 

The Renovation Project of Goce Delcev School was started this year on May 14, mainly replacing windows for classrooms, painting the inside and outside walls, restoring the ground surface, and equipping the classrooms with desks, chairs, and blackboards etc.
