National Day Reception for the 61 Anniversary of the Founding of P. R. China

In the evening of September 29, 2010, Mr. Dong Chunfeng, the Chinese Ambassador in Macedonia, together with his wife, held a reception to celebrate the 61 Anniversary of the Founding of the P. R. China in Alexander Palace Hotel. About 300 people were invited to attend, including VIPs & friends from Macedonia, diplomatic envoys, and some Chinese organizations and oversea Chinese in Macedonia. The VIPs include Prime Minister H.E. Nikola Gruevski, Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Adbilakjm Ademi, Vice President of the Assembly Ms. Svetlana Jakimovska, Defense Minister Mr. Zoran Konjanovski, Economy Minister Mr. Fatmir Besimi, Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister Mr. Andrej Lepavcov, State Councilor for Foreign Affairs Mr. Darko Kostadinovski, 1st President Mr. Kiro Gligorov, former Foreign Minister Ilinka Mitreva, and President of Macedonia-China Friendship Association Mr. Krime Korobar etc.

 

                            

 

In Ambassador Dong’s speech, he reviewed the development process and the great achievements of China in the past 61 years since its initial founding and especially after its reform and opening up, made explanation on the development strategy of “reform and opening up” which is suitable for China and implemented by China, and stated China's independent foreign policy of peace. He spoke highly of various exchanges and pragmatic cooperation in the fields of economy & trade, culture & education, media & journalism, tourism, agriculture, and health etc. between the two countries, and looked forward to promote the friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation towards a higher level. He also pointed out that China would hold high the banner of peace, development and cooperation, follow the road of peaceful development and reform and opening up, adhere to developing friendly cooperation with all countries on the basis of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, adhere to the peaceful coexistence with all countries on the basis of friendly cooperation, and advance the building of a harmonious world with lasting peace and common prosperity.
