December 24th, 2010, Mrs. Ma Jixia, Wife of Chinese Ambassador to Macedonia, held a New Year Luncheon for the wives of high-level officials of Macedonia in the ambassador's residence. The President's wife, the Parliament Speaker's wife, the Vice Premier's wife, the Foreign Minister's wife, and the wife of the Counselor for Foreign Affairs for the Premier etc. were invited to attend.

Ms. Ma Jixia extended New Year greetings to the VIPs, happily reviewed the close contact and good relations among each other in the past year, and sincerely wished all VIPs a Happy New Year, a happy family, and a happy work.

Before luncheon, Ms. Ma Jixia demonstrated hands-on how to make the Chinese dumplings, and explained in detail the origin and good connotation of dumplings.

During the luncheon, the wife of the Parliament Speaker recalled her recent visit to China and the grand opening ceremony of Shanghai World Expo, and praised highly of the comprehensive power and the profound culture of China. Her remarks attracted the envy of the other VIPs, who all expressed their hopes to find opportunities to go to China and look around.

While enjoying the Chinese cuisine, the VIPs listened carefully to Ms. Ma Jixia’s introduction of Chinese traditional cultures like silk, tea, embroidery, and Chinese medicine etc.. They all said that such a good exchange with the Chinese Ambassador's wife have deepened their understanding of China and also their longing desire for a visit to China. They all hope the Chinese Ambassador’s wife could introduce and demonstrate more charms of Chinese women and more traditional cultures of China to all women's in Macedonia.
