April 14, Zhengzhou Yutong signed an agreement of producing 202 double-deck buses with the Ministry of Transportation and Communications of Macedonia in Skopje, Ambassador Dong attended the signing ceremony. Overseas general manager of Yutong Company Zhang Guangmin and minister of Ministry of Transportation and Communications of Macedonia Janakieski signed the contract.

Janakieski said, Macedonia always attached importance to cooperation with China in all fields, the bus project was an important cooperation in the field of bilateral trade. Macedonian Prime Minister Gruevski specifically sent congratulation, and looked forward to further mutually beneficial cooperation with China in various fields.

Ambassador Dong said, bilateral relations had developed smoothly in recent years, cooperation in all fields had achieved positive progress. Many Chinese companies, including the Yutong, actively participated in tenders of Macedonian government, we hoped the Macedonian government further improve the investment environment to attract more Chinese companies to invest in Macedonia.

After the signing ceremony, Zhang and Janakieski accepted interview with the media.

Since 2007, Macedonian Government organized 5 tenders on the bus project, after fierce competition, Zhengzhou Yutong ultimately won the bid, the total amount of the contract was 35.5 million euros.
